I think building monument first is now viable and potentially underrated because you can recruit heroes with it. if you found either Hercules or Anansi a monument start would grant you HUGE advantage depends on your early game plan. The +2 culture per turn is also huge because it almost doubles your culture output so you can get to political philosophy much faster.
I'd say if you were spawn on a hill and mountain heavy terrain building scout wouldn't be worth it because exploration wouldn't be efficient and you'd better off do something else with the production.
So here I am, buying it on steam sale, thinking I'm just gonna try it (really skeptical)…. Next thing I know, I haven't been moving for about 5 hours playing in tutorial. This game rocks.
I recommend you keep the image quiet, I was completely disturbed by it. Don't talk too much, if you recommend something then do it. And you talk way too fast. Good luck with your next video.
I try to build a settler as soon as possible so I can settle and claim land before the others do. The first thing I build is a scout, because by the time the scout is built, the population of the city will have increased to 2, which makes building a settler possible.
I just get crushed by barb camps when I try this strat.

I always build a slinger as a second build specifically for protection and hopefully get the boost for archers

These days if I have a good enough I'll go for Scout/Settler/Settler, if not it'll be Scout/Builder/Settler because by the time the builder pops out Il have got at least one starting tech that will enable me to put down some improvements appropriate to the location. I typically find myself buying my slinger with gold, mainly because I typically play on King and so can afford to wait a bit on it.
Could you do a video tips for multy civ games?
1. Scout or slinger
2. Settler or slinger (slinger if you haven’t already build and when you worried about barbarians/other ai)
3. Settler (to build even more cities), but third built not so important
