Deceptive advertising! Outright lies! The ad claims the app has 4.2 stars. Liars. Clicking through to Google Play Store reveals a rating of 2.9, with comments claiming some massive ethical and technical problems. Caveat emptor.

DO NOT Use this app is absolute garbage. Takes 3 days to add funds, trying to withdraw your money can take months. There are hidden monthly fees. They say "$0 trading" but you havd to pay a percentage of your investment monthly, the more you put in the more you pay Wealthsimple. The customer service is terrible,, and worst of all the stock pricing is 15 minutes behind the real pricing. If you see a stock went up and sell, if that stock has dropped and it isn't showing in app it will adjust later causing potential losses. Absolute fkn garbage

Fees aside, how is a Wealthsimple Index Fund more lucrative than a group of stocks selected by a top stock picker? Isn't it the same thing?; just one has lower fees?
Fees don't matter as long as the net return is more than the difference of the fee.
Pick stocks that have proven themselves over the last few decades and you have a 75% chance of succeeding.
