Lithium-ion battery, How does it work? technology 12 literature 29

by adminDianeAshleyBooks

A portable power supply has become the lifeline of the modern technological world, especially the lithium-ion battery. Imagine a world where all cars are driven by induction motors and not internal combustion engines. Induction motors are far superior to IC engines in almost all engineering Another huge disadvantage of IC engines is that they only produce usable torque in a narrow band of engine RPM. Considering all of these factors, induction motors are definitely the perfect choice for an automobile. However Let’s explore how Tesla, with the help of lithium-ion cells, solved this issue and why lithium-ion cells are going to We thank Mr. Ravindra Kempaiah for his invaluable technical contribution for this video. another major issue in the future will be e waste management, India is already facing it where 9 million ton is produce by country itself which is only 9% of total 100%, the other 91% is dumped in India illegally by developed countries due to un professional management of e waste the northern parts of India face huge release of harmful chemical in air and rise in air pollution.

This is an amazing video, specially the last part about new research, "Silicon-anode" batteries are the future!

Note: People who aren't really familiar with these concepts will think that the induction motor is powered directly from the battery pack, they forgot to mention the inverter.

Elon Musk with his intelligence should also know that sitting right behind 1,200 pounds of raging lithium ion batteries discharging about 85KWh (model S 100KWh) for several years will undoubtedly culminate into all the manifestations of lithium poisoning, including kidney failure. The Tesla's engine is very powerful. Its action potential is more than we've ever seen. There is a formidable explosion of electricity whose secondary effects may permeate through the vehicle's interior. But we are reactive and waiting for a few rich people with unexplained symptoms and kidney failure to connect the dots with Tesla. This latter is a pretty cool car. Maybe driving it in addition to paying the cost of a small house is still worth a few kidneys. I do hope I'm wrong because there are a lot of Tesla on the road.

Imagine no IC engines, imagine how wonderful life will be, imagine that we have to upgrade our electrical grid, imagine we have to wait 40 mins or so to charge our beautiful lithium cars then only be able to go 200 miles or so, imagine all the dead lithium batt that are now in landfills, imagine the sickness that could be caused form electric cars….. sounds like a shit dream. Now imagine yourself in a cool 1969 Camaro SS blasting around town…..now thats cool.

So an SEI layer formed during the first charge is more or less permanent throughout the lifetime of the battery?

Lithium ion is old news and no one is dumping money into upgrading these things.
Solid state and silicone are where it is at.
