U know what, its not even worth the time and effort. R* need to change the online economy big time and stop expecting their players to pour an obscene amount of time grinding away just to purchase basic shit like clothing. Sure make the players work a little, but reward us for the stuff we do and give us more opportunities to make money. Red dead online could be a truly amazing emersive experience if they think more about how to make it fun rather than how they can squeeze money from players at every opportunity.

The numbers show that the time to loot ratio is far higher when using the ever popular money exploit than it is while hunting. Also, you have to take into account that hunting is not a guaranteed thing. Best way to make money-
Saint Denis, up the top, hunt small gators (repeater) $6.50 for the carcass and $3.50 for the skin.
Kill ALL the birds. Their feathers range from $.80-$1.95 each and the carcass $3.50-$4 and you can carry two, invest in a varmint rifle so you can get 3* ones, which give you 3 feathers each time you skin them.
ALWAYS skin your animal.
Then just follow the tracks back into town to the butcher.
Shoot crows and ravens for exp, they give 10 each time.
I can usually get $70 each time I go to the butcher.

The grind in terms of normal dollars isn’t that bad. In 5ish hours of playing with friends I made just over £750. Okay we’re all many ranks off, but money wise that’s close to the top tier horses in online.

The issue is the seemingly extortionate prices of some basics and hair cuts etc.

And the Gold Bars. Either the Gold Bar only stuff needs to be given a dollar value, or the rate and/or ways we acquire the gold needs increasing.

I wish the economy wasn't so busted in the online mode. It's one thing to charge 80$ for a coat but making some things only purchasable with gold bars is ridiculous. They haven't even added the microtransactions yet and you can feel the effects of them, it really is a bummer.
