Anton Van Leeuwenhoek- He discovered Bacteria
Robert Hooke- He was the first one to view cells and name them
Matthias Schleiden- He discovered all plants have cells
Theodore Schwann- He discovered all animals have cells
Rudolph Virchow- He showed that cells do come from other cells, although his proof was "taken without permission.
Cell Theory states:
All living organisms are made up of one or more cells
a cell is a basic unit of structure and organization in living organisms.
All cells come from preexisting cells.
